Henmick Farm & Brewery has been open just over three years now in eastern Delaware County. It takes up about eight acres of a family farm just north of the village of Kilbourne, and has proven to be a lovely spot to hang out with great beer and cocktails, with both cozy indoor spaces and expansive patios. So I’m suggesting it as a great place to hang out this fall!

In keeping with the farm’s location, the taproom and brewery are built out of a reclaimed barn from Lancaster and lumber from other Ohio barns. The main bar features large tables and a vaulted ceiling.
In addition to their own beers on tap, Henmick offers cocktails made with spirits from local distilleries like Watershed and Echo Spirits. They also feature non-alcoholic drinks made with Simple Times Mixers, and it bottles select brews – usually sours or barrel-aged beers.
The main beer hall features tall ceilings with loads of natural light.
I love the giant stone fireplace on one end. I want to kick back around the fire there this winter!
Their tap list usually runs about 20 beers deep, and includes a wide selection ranging from light lagers to saisons, tarts to pilsners, IPAs to stouts – even a cider or two made from Ohio apples.
I’ve found that all of their beers are perfect for sipping in the taproom or at one of the many tables outdoors.
Their beers have proven to be brewed true-to-style, balanced, and flavorful.
Outside you’ll find a few stone or grass patios with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, some situated around firepits.
It offers plenty of space to kick back with big groups.
They’ll frequently host live music on the patio, too.
Henmick hosts a regular lineup of food trucks, too. We’ve seen everything from pizza to Mediterranean to tacos to barbecue to smashburgers.
So what are you waiting for? Park yourself at Henmick sometime this fall! It’s an idyllic getaway that’s great for relaxing with a drink in good company.
