Shakers Public House Opens in New Worthington Location

by admin

After losing its West Side location to a major fire last September, Shakers Public House had to close up shop temporarily. Its building on Georgesville Road was a complete loss, so owners Spencer and Caitlin Campbell, who revamped the place in 2021, were forced to find a new home. The easy-going pub kept going by finding a temporary spot to serve wings and other snacks for carryout only, but today it finally reopened in a big, new space on East Wilson Bridge Road in Worthington!

They’ve spent months renovating the space, which was most recently J&D’s Place.

The building, which is located on the western end of a small strip that includes offices and Zen Bee Meadery, has been given a complete refresh, with new paint, equipment, loads of TVs.

Many of the walls have been covered with colorful murals, too.

Shakers features a full bar, with loads of beers on tap and in the bottle/can. Visit from 5-6 p.m. daily for Power Hour, with specials like draft beers and well shots for only $1.

The menu spans share-ables, wings, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and desserts.

We snagged a “Ten Mile” pretzel, served with beer cheese and honey mustard. This is the original, but the everything bagel version is not to be missed, too.

Don’t skip the fried mushrooms…

…or the fried pepperoni!

But the real feature at Shakers Public House: the wings! They feature 22 different sauces and dry rubs.

We tasted the Peekent, Honey BBQ, Garlic Menace, and Drunken Teriyaki.

Bonus: visit on Wednesdays for $1 wings!

I mean – just look at their shirts!

The space also includes a billiards room, and there’s a big fenced patio as well.

Shakers Public House is open daily from 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.!
